Hi,
I've been in the R/C hobby for a long time mainly doing electric planes for the past years. Submarine is always a mystery for me. Browsing through the web leads me to the impression that sub building is complicated on one side that there is only a few full package kit in the market and the other is DIY is going to be a tedious process. Getting all the required stuff alone is not going to be easy especially for a newbie like me.
One thread in the taiwan forum
www.rctw.net/thread-43802-1-9.html attracted me as the Red Shark kit seems to be a full package kit and not difficult to accomplish. As my interest lies on the static dive, I'd just past it on without any follow up. There are some disscussion on the Red Shark on this fourm.
The other day while surfing the web I discovered there seems to be an upgraded version with static dive and comes with a new name "Dragon Shark". Browsing through the pictures and videos on manufacturer's site reveals it to be a full package kit just what I've been looking for. So I go for it as the price is right.
Get it after 3 days placing the order. Here is the spec from the manufacturer:

As a newbie the way I go along with the building is based on plain mechanical experience and common sense. The purpose of this building log is to show the way I do it and hope some sub experts would jump in and pointing out any mistakes and better ways to complete the kit.
Opening the box found everything arrived in good shape except a cracked prop. Contacted the manufacturer and a replacment is on the way.
