Not sure if David Merriman would appreciate being called a 'Chinaman' - this kit is coming from the USA.

Props, masts & scopes will be of white metal. Decks & vents photoetch brass.

Danke Wolfgang!

Yes, I live in China - Xiaoshan, specifically, home of one of the oldest boat discoveries dating back 7500 years - but I'm only spearheading a project that started originally in 2008 by several TF72 members on the SubPirates forum who were interested in developing a 1/72 Foxtrot. After several false starts & growing interest from other modelers around the world, this kit will soon become a reality.

As stated above, kit is being produced by Rick Palumbo of RPM Tech. David Merriman of D&E Miniatures is assisting Rick with the props & fittings to get this kit to market 1st quarter of 2010. Both are well known within the RC submarine community for their craftsmanship & innovation in developing new product.

For those interested in the kit, feel free to send me PM or contact Rick directly as he is the exclusive source for the Foxtrot.

Its been a very interesting & productive collaboration between all parties & we look forward to seeing new projects in the coming months as a result.

Here are a few photos of David's work on the masters for the Foxtrot masts.

You can read David's "cabel report" on the original build thread over at RCG: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1112097&page=8
